We Switched Off Server Access Logs
Since 5 October 2026, our web servers no longer record IP addresses or the links you anonymize. Here is what changed, what we still keep and why.
Anonymiz product news, tool launches, security advisories and updates from the team behind our free privacy tools since 2013.
This is where we announce new tools, browser extensions, plugins and important changes to Anonymiz. Each post explains what is new, who it is for, and anything you should know before you use it, such as the permissions it needs, its limitations, or what data is involved.
We post here when something changes that affects you, not on a fixed schedule: a new tool or integration, a change to how a tool works, or a change to how we handle data. Smaller fixes are not announced. Every post says plainly what changed and what, if anything, you need to do. How often we post depends on what we release, so the latest entry may be a few weeks old.
Recent releases:
All our integrations can be downloaded from the plugins page, and every free tool is listed on the tools page.

Our browser extension for Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox hides where you came from on every link you click, without routing links through our servers.
Free Anonymiz plugins for WordPress, MyBB and XenForo send outbound links through Anonymiz, so linked sites cannot see which page a visitor came from.
