Will it show which AI built the site?
Yes — that is the primary output. The result shows a clear verdict like "Built with Framer AI" or "Built with Bolt.new" when we detect a specific AI builder. If multiple are detected, all are shown. If no AI is found, it says "Human-Built" and identifies the platform.
What if it says Human-Built but I used AI?
If you used an AI assistant like ChatGPT or Claude to write your code but then deployed it yourself (not through an AI builder), there may be no detectable signatures left in the HTML. AI-written code looks identical to human-written code without explicit comments or API references.
Which AI builders leave the clearest signals?
Framer AI, Wix ADI, Bolt.new, Lovable.dev and Vercel v0 are the easiest to detect — they inject CDN domains, attribution badges or data attributes. Squarespace and Webflow are also very reliable. Custom ChatGPT-generated code deployed manually is the hardest to detect.
What is the AI confidence score?
The score (0-100) reflects how many and how strong the AI signals are. 0-20: likely human-built. 20-40: weak AI signals. 40-70: probable AI builder. 70-100: strong confirmed AI builder signals. The score is based on the strength and number of matching signatures.
Can it detect if AI wrote the text content?
No — detecting AI-written text requires NLP analysis and is a separate problem. This tool only detects the website building platform and infrastructure signals, not the content authorship.
Why might the scan fail or show Unknown?
Sites that block crawlers (Cloudflare bot challenges, login-gated pages) cannot be scanned. Some sites use custom CDNs that mask builder signatures. Very minimal single-page sites may not have enough HTML to analyse.
