Set a countdown, use Pomodoro presets, or run a stopwatch. Sound alerts when time is up.
A browser timer is handy when you do not want to reach for your phone: timing a presentation, a break, an exam practice or a step in a recipe. This tool has a countdown with a sound alert when time is up, a stopwatch with lap times, and Pomodoro presets. It works in your browser with nothing to install.
The method, developed by Francesco Cirillo, splits work into focused blocks, traditionally 25 minutes long, separated by 5-minute breaks, with a longer break of 15 to 30 minutes after four blocks. Short, fixed blocks make it easier to start a task and harder to drift into email or social media.
