How it works

Step-by-step guide

1
Upload your .torrent file

Click the drop zone above or drag and drop your .torrent file. You can also drop multiple files at once for batch conversion.

2
File is parsed in your browser

The tool reads the .torrent file using JavaScript — the bencode binary format is decoded to extract the info-hash, file name, size, and trackers. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

3
Info-hash is extracted

The SHA-1 hash of the torrent info dictionary is computed. This 40-character hex string uniquely identifies the torrent content on the BitTorrent network.

4
Public trackers are injected

If enabled, 20+ verified public trackers are appended to your magnet link. This gives BitTorrent clients more servers to find peers from, significantly improving download speeds.

5
Copy your magnet link

Click Copy to clipboard or open directly in your torrent client. The magnet link works in qBittorrent, uTorrent, Deluge, BitTorrent, Transmission and all modern clients.

100% private

Your .torrent file is parsed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is ever uploaded to our servers.

Tracker injection

Adds 20+ verified public trackers to each magnet link — more peers, faster downloads especially for older torrents.

Batch convert

Drop multiple .torrent files at once. All are converted simultaneously and displayed in a clean list.

File metadata

Displays file name, total size, file count, info-hash, and original trackers extracted from the torrent.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a .torrent file?
A .torrent file is a small metadata file (usually a few KB) that contains information about the content to be downloaded: file names, sizes, piece hashes, and tracker addresses. It does not contain the actual content — just the instructions for how to find and download it.
What is a magnet link and why is it better?
A magnet link is a URI that starts with magnet:?xt=urn:btih: followed by the info-hash. It is more convenient than a .torrent file because it requires no file download — just paste it into your torrent client. Magnet links are also easier to share via text, email, or messaging apps.
Is my .torrent file uploaded to your servers?
Never. The entire conversion happens in your browser using JavaScript. The file is read locally using the FileReader API and the WebCrypto API computes the SHA-1 hash. No data leaves your device.
Why inject additional trackers?
The original torrent may only list one or two trackers. If those trackers are offline or overloaded, your download stalls. By adding 20+ public trackers, your client contacts many more servers to find peers, significantly improving download speed especially for older or less-popular torrents.
What is an info-hash?
The info-hash is a SHA-1 hash of the info dictionary section of the .torrent file. This 40-character hex string uniquely identifies a specific torrent. Two different torrents always have different info-hashes, and the same torrent always has the same info-hash regardless of which site it came from.
Can I convert multiple torrent files at once?
Yes. Drop multiple .torrent files onto the drop zone at the same time. All files are converted simultaneously and each gets its own magnet link with individual copy and open buttons.
What torrent clients support magnet links?
All modern torrent clients support magnet links: qBittorrent, uTorrent, BitTorrent, Deluge, Transmission, Vuze, and many more. Simply copy the magnet link and paste it into your client, or click the Open in Client button to launch it directly.
Why does my torrent client say no peers found?
This often happens when the original trackers are offline and the swarm is small. Adding extra public trackers (injected automatically by this tool) usually resolves this. Also try waiting a few minutes for DHT (Distributed Hash Table) to find peers without trackers.
