Frequently Asked Questions
What is a link anonymizer?
A link anonymizer is a tool that removes the HTTP Referer header from a link before redirecting users to the destination. This means the destination website cannot see which site the visitor came from.
Is Anonymiz free to use?
Yes, Anonymiz is completely free. No account is required, no data is logged, and there are no hidden fees.
How does Anonymiz hide the referrer?
Anonymiz wraps your link in an anonymous redirect page. The browser navigates to our page first, then forwards to the destination using a meta refresh — so no HTTP Referer header is sent to the target site.
Does Anonymiz log my links or IP address?
No. We do not store IP addresses, URLs that pass through the redirect, or any visitor data. Your privacy is fully protected.
